With a rich tapestry of experience in the realm of Vocational Education and Training (VET), I am Jeanette, the founder and lead consultant at Dialogue Co-design Lab. My curiosity, expertise and wisdom mark my abilities and my commitment to transforming education through innovation, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the evolving landscape.

Professional Journey:

In a recent role as a Vocational Education and Training (VET) Specialist at Deakin University, I was involved in Senior Secondary School Reform projects, providing expert guidance on VET training. My insights have extended to offering alternative delivery advice to the Department of Education Taskforce, alongside engaging in Cultural Historical Activity Theory research.

Previously, as the Education Development Manager at The Gordon TAFE, I led the institution’s teaching programs through the challenging transition to online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. This achievement was acknowledged with the CEO’s Award for Excellence in 2020. I spearheaded Learning Management System and Curriculum Management System initiatives, demonstrated leadership in instructional design, and managed technology projects with an innovative approach.

Consulting Focus:

At Dialogue Co-design Lab, my consultancy endeavours converge around three main themes:

  1. Industry and Projects: Leveraging my extensive experience in project leadership and management, I collaborate with industries to tailor VET solutions that align with real-world demands. My track record in successfully steering projects, such as the state-wide workforce competency assessment initiative at Swinburne University of Technology, underscores my commitment to bridging the gap between education and industry needs.
  2. Technology and Systems: With a keen eye for technology’s role in education, I bring expertise in implementing and managing eLearning strategies. Drawing from my tenure as an E-Learning Team Leader at Goulburn Ovens Institute of TAFE, I offer strategic advice on incorporating technology and systems to enhance the learning experience.
  3. Courses and Curriculum: My extensive background in educational leadership and curriculum development, notably as a Program Convenor at Chisholm Online and Project Leader in Education Development at The Gordon TAFE, positions me to guide institutions in crafting dynamic courses and curricula that meet contemporary educational standards.

Aurora Sustainable Development Consultants:

Dialogue Co-design Lab grew from my 20-year-old business – Aurora Sustainable Development Consultants. It was time for a refresh.

I have successfully guided clients in RTO management and initial registration provided advice on eLearning, and developed content for secondary schools, Industry, and VET. I have achieved positive outcomes in RTO audits. My commitment to sustainability is not only reflected in the consultancy but also the establishment of the Wonthaggi Energy Innovation Festival, and the course writing of the state-accredited Diploma of Sustainable Catchment Management.

Yoga and Meditation Teacher:

Beyond the professional realm, I find balance as a Yoga and Meditation Teacher. This holistic approach informs my consulting practice, emphasizing mindfulness, adaptability, and creativity.
